Developing and providing the Japanese Ministry of the Environment's "Junior Eco-Clubs" Membership Booklets and related activity materials.

1999-2001

Participating in the planning and organization of the Japanese Ministry of the Environment's "Junior Eco-Club Asia-Pacific Conference,"as well as coordinating the publication of information bulletins introducing environmental activities by children from the Asia-Pacific region.

2002

The 5th Green Purchasing Award (Civic Group Category) for continuous community approach in promoting eco-friendly merchandise through environmental learning support activities.

2003

Contributing to the declaration of the City of Nishinomiya as an"Environmental Learning City" and the Joint Communique on its commitment to collaborative efforts with the City of Burlington, Vermont, USA, to support education and lifelong learning that promote environmental stewardship and sustainability.

2004

Japan Productivity Center for Socio-Economic Development "Environment Grand Prix 2004 for local municipalities" awarded to the City of Nishinomiya and LEAF for the outstanding achievements in promoting community-based environmental activities. 

2005

Hosting "the Symposium on the Role of Businesses toward a Sustainable Society" in Tokyo, Japan, as well as the inauguration of the Demonstrative Study of the Interaction-based Environmental Communication Project with Kirin Brewery Co., Ltd.

2006

- The 4th Partnership Grand Prix awarded by Partnership Support    Center and SAWAYAKA Welfare Foundation for "Businesses Support Environmental Learning for Children" project.

- Inauguration of  "Development of an Environmental Learning System for Citizens on Nurturing  Dialogue with Nature through Agriculture" funded by Japan Fund for Global Environment.

- "Nishinomiya Community Development Award in Commemoration of the Designation as a Core City"  by City of Nishinomiya

- Entrusted Project by the Ministry of the Environment Kinki Regional Environment Office "Promotion Project for the UN Decade of Education for Sustainable Development"

2008

- Hosting "the Hyogo Children's Environmental Meeting" as the side event of the G8 Environment Ministers Meeting in cooperation with the Hyogo prefectural office

- Initiating the joint education for sustainable development (ESD) project with US and Chinese partners

- Entrusted Projects by JICA on environmental education in Chile, ESD in the Pacific region, and training program for young leaders in Malaysia

- Hosting "the International Symposium on SATOYAMA Initiative" to disseminate the methodology of farmland conservation and utilization through environmental learning
